Newry Theory Test Centre Directions
Car
Newry’s test venue is located within Ballybot House on Cornmarket, close to the city centre. The A1, A27 and A28 provide good connections into the city, which is located in the southeast of Northern Ireland.
Parking
There is limited, on-street parking on Cornmarket, therefore if you’re fortunate on test day, you may be able to park in close proximity to the test centre. However, if this isn’t feasible, we recommend heading to the Canal Bank Car Park. Parking costs at this site are extremely cheap, charging just £0.40 for an hour’s coverage. This can be paid for by cash, or by using the ‘JustPark’ service line.
Ballybot House is situated just over 300m away, and requires a three-minute westbound walk to access. Head over Newry Canal and progress on Francis Street before turning right at the second junction onto Cornmarket. The testing venue is located at the north end of this road.
Alternative local parking options can be found here, although this is both the cheapest and closest site to the test centre.
Bus
The number 160 bus service travels between Dundalk and Newry, with its northbound journey terminating at Newry Bus Station. The station is just 100m north-east of Canal Bank Car Park, so please revert back to the travel guidance above to aid your onwards journey to the test site. This route will take no longer than five minutes to navigate.

Train
Newry Train Station is located to the northwest of the city, around 2.5km away from the test site. If heading on foot, the journey involves a relatively straightforward walk heading south-east on the A25 beyond the Daisy Hill Hospital, before turning right just before the Canal Court Hotel, and heading south towards Cornmarket. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the city’s free shuttle service, which operates regular buses towards Newry Bus Station.
