Harrogate Theory Test Centre Directions
Car
Harrogate’s testing venue is located within Scottsdale House on Springfield Avenue, located on northern outskirts of the town centre. Harrogate is chiefly serviced by the A59 and A61, with the A1(M) motorway passing the town around 10km to the east.
Parking
There are unfortunately no car parks in immediate proximity of Scottsdale House, but plenty within ten minutes walking distance. If heading to one of the two sites mentioned below, we would advise you to purchase a two-hour ticket. This will provide you with ample time to head to the venue, conduct your test, and return to your vehicle.
Jubilee Multi-Storey Car Park is located approximately 650m south-west of Springfield Avenue. Parking is charged at £1.40 per hour, but please note that cash is not accepted at this facility. To reach the test centre, head north on Cheltenham Road, then north-east on Kings Road, before turning left into Springfield Avenue. This journey should take around eight minutes to complete. Montpellier Shoppers Car Park is situated around 150m south of the Jubilee site, so please allow for an extra couple of minutes onward travel time. Nevertheless, parking is priced slightly cheaper here, at a rate of £1.10 per hour.
Please be aware that disabled spaces are accommodated at either car park. For alternative local parking sites, please click the following link.
Bus
There are few bus routes that have scheduled stops nearby the test centre, but there are numerous services heading into Harrogate town centre. The test site is around a ten-minute walk from most town centre destinations, including Harrogate Bus Station.
The 2A/B service heading to Bilton has scheduled stops at both the bus station and outside Kings Road Conference Centre, which is just around the corner from Scottsdale House. Taking this option will reduce travel time by roughly five minutes versus heading to the venue from the bus station by foot.
Train
Harrogate Train Station welcomes passengers from various parts of the country, and facilitates regular services from nearby Leeds and York. The station is positioned around 200m southbound of the town’s bus station, so please see refer back to the section above for relevant onwards travel directions to the test centre.
